The pair later formed a classic jazz quartet that musically lent familiar flavors of the internationally known Sweet Back/Sade. Harris and Allen longed to experience more of a musical challenge. They teamed up for the creation of a fresh unique sound, a sound all their own. By infusing jazz, neo-soul and a hint of funk, this musical exploration began to capture both the name and story behindthe duo, “3rd Scenario”.

While Earl’s voice offers a hint of George Duke, Donny Hathaway, and even George Benson, Harris has honed into his own unique sound. From the birth of 3rd Scenario, to the production of “It’s About Time”, Earl’s musicianship undoubtedly blazed new territory and clearly has broken uncharted ground with this musical work.
